Zoe is an adorable pup-born 3-15-08. At almost 5 months, she is full of energy, very alert to her surroundings, very inquisitive! Her new home should be one that is familiar with raising her breed. Zoe would love to have a quiet home where she can learn to contain her boundless energy but still get lots of socialization to bolster her confidence in this new world! Do you have room in your heart and home for her? Contact Daryl@ourcompanions.org 860.242.9999 x6

Pendi was a stray cat found by the Hartford Animal Control and taken to the Connecticut Veterinary Center where he was held for only 8 days before he was scheduled to be euthanized (their standard protocol!)! A wonderful worker at the vet rescued Pendi and took him home to foster him until a loving home can be found. Unfortunately she can’t foster him for very long as she has other cats and dogs, so poor Pendi is looking for a loving home as soon as possible. While only with his foster mom for a few days, he lets her hold him and after petting him for a little while, Pendi starts to purr. Pendi is spayed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Do you have the love to make him feel safe again. Please call Kim at 860-242-9999×6 or KIM@OURCOMPANIONS.ORG and become Pendi’s loving forever home

The Kado Pet Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt charity that helps low-income people who are either seniors age 60 or above or people who are in permanent hardship situations, usually due to medical condition(s). We take over the lifetime care of their animal companions so that they can stay in their homes with their families! This includes, but is not limited to veterinary expenses, food, litter and assistance with care. For those who qualify for the lifetime care program and would like to have an animal companion, we help them adopt a pet in need of a home! There has been talk of seniors having to choose between food and medications and yet it is often overlooked that their pets need help too! No one should have to sacrifice their own health or well being and everyone one should have the opportunity to enjoy the companionship and many health benefits of having a pet! We presently have more than 50 pets that we are providing for at this time. As the word is spreading about Kado the number of people contacting us has increased. The majority of pets that have come into our program have not been seen by a vet in many years if ever! Most need a goodly deal of medical care. So far we have been able to help everyone who has asked for assistance. We are concerned that as Kado’s name continues to spread that there won’t be enough funds to provide for everyone. Your support helps us to ensure that our mission is successful! LEARN MORE AND HELP IF U CAN AT http://helpforpets.org
