The AI finale is tonight. Can't wait. I think David Cook got a bum deal last night, really. It's so obvious they favor David Archuleta, and at this stage of the game I just don't agree with how they praised "Archie" all night and kind of swept Cook aside... I do have to say though, David Cook has a great voice but the way he pronounces a lot of things when he sings is annoying... Almost like he's trying to be too rock star ish or something. David Archuleta does have a great voice, but I'd honestly rather sit through a Celine Dion concert than a David A concert. There's something about him that bugs me!!! I haven't watched the last bunch of seasons but the whole boxing thing they did at the beginning was way over the top... and they're making it as if whoever doesn't win is going nowhere... at this point, it doesn't matter!! Most of the people who have done REALLY well after Idol didn't even win the freaking competition!! Anyway, I'm excited.
I took Kyla to a park in our town today. She LOVED it. We'd never been there before, but it was great! I was sitting on the couch with her at around 11am and I said, do you want to have a picnic at the park today? She was all excited... so I packed our PBJ sandwiches, some golfish and juice boxes, and we drove over there... It's too far to walk. They have 2 playscapes, a huge sand pit with tons of toys, a fishing pond, waterfall, picnic tables, etc... We were there for almost 3 hours... and just as I was trying to get her to leave, the ice cream truck showed up! So we got ice creams and then went home for a nap. I took lots of pictures, I just have to load them. We both fell asleep within a few minutes of getting home and washing the dirt off ourselves.
The one thing that's tough about the park is trying to determine who I can be friendly with! Some people look approachable and end up being kind of snooty, and others look snooty but end up starting conversations... I am a little shy, especially when it comes to trying to make friends with women at the park, but I did talk to a few people. If it's nice, we're going to go again tomorrow. She totally loved it!!
I watched Ali Lohan on David Letterman last night. That little girl is... I don't know. Going to end up just like her sister? Probably. She actually reminds me of Ashlee Simpson before she got her nose done and became the hotter sister... we'll see. I am totally going to watch that show, at least the first episode to see what it's all about.
I'm trying to figure out what to do this weekend... I have to work Saturday and Monday, so I really only have Sat night and Sunday to do something fun, but we're just going back and forth with "I don't know what do you want to do?" so we'll see... It's supposed to be really nice on Sunday. Of course that could change...
I think that's all. Go David Cook! Although I don't think he's going to win... :(
