Ugh, Ryan Seacrest is SO annoying. He's apparently said he wants to be the next Dick Clark... whatever pretty boy.
Anyway, what did you think of Idol last night?
I was SO disappointed in Carly Smithson, what was she doing with that Total Eclipse of the Heart song? I don't know... obviously I love that song - who doesn't - but it just didn't fit her, and the way she carried out that last note... ugh. Carly Carly Carly... why??? I love her so much, but she's had 2 not so awesome weeks in a row...
Michael Johns was great... I think he botched a line pitchwise, but other than that he did well...
Kristy Lee Cook - I figured that performance could go either way, I mean she belted that song out and she sounded great... but I thought they might give her a hard time for being "cheesy" - they didn't though. Simon was impressed! She's back in the competition...
David Archuleta, sorry kid, that song was dorky and it just didn't work at all. He needs someone coaching him more or something, that song was just lame and it didn't do anything for him.
Brooke White - They gave her a little bit of a hard time, but I thought she was great. I think she probably had the band join her to make it a little more upbeat, and I thought it was fabulous. I love her voice. Plus she's adorable and sweet. Does this girl ever get pissed off??
Chikeze - Not so great. He reminds me too much of Ruben Studdard, minus 200 or so pounds. He's got a good voice, but I don't think he's marketable, and he's too old school style to win or come close.
Syesha sang really well, she'll keep going...
Ramiele, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... again. She's a snoozefest ever week for me, yo yo yo for me that was just OK yo yo yo...
Jason Castro needs to go home. Now. He had his one good performance, and I know Paula loves him because he's himself and he's just so him, or whatever nonsense she spews, but he's just not it.
David Cook ROCKED IT OUT!!! Who else could take Billy Jean is Not My Lover and turn it into a rock song?? DAVID COOK!! He's so talented and he's super cute... Move over Chris Daughtry!!!!
Anyway, that's my Idol opinion. Bottom 3 will be Jason, Ramiele, and Chikeze - or Carly again, but I hope not because she IS talented. Can't wait to watch.
Have you watched Moment of Truth at all? What do you think of the show? It sucks me in, mostly just because it's on either before or after Idol so I end up watching it since I'm already in lazy TV mode, but it's such an annoying show. That answer is.............................................................................................................................................................................................True.
Seriously, do we need pauses that long???????????? And you know it's always going to be "True" because you can see in the promos that the person keeps going... They give away ALL the good stuff in the promos anyway. And clearly they find people who just don't give a rat's arse about the people in their lives and want out of their relationships or want to stir the pot anyway - they just figure they can go on TV and get paid for it... It's just a tacky show. I'm waiting for the follow up shows, like what happened after the truth was told on Moment of Truth... Did so and so go back to life as normal with his wife after he revealed he slept with his friend's wife... or whatever. It's gotta be coming!
So I found something out last night that ticked me right off... I can't talk about it here, but some people are so cowardly. Whatever.
I am super psyched because my online shopping risk worked out! I LOVE the clothes on VS.com but I have been afraid to buy more than a shirt or something because wiht pants and dresses you just can't tell how they will fit... but my stuff came in the mail yesterday and it ALL FITS!!! The pants I got in a short so I can wear them with my little black sneakers or flip flops for spring, and they're a 6 (I almost got the 8, go me!), so now I know that the short length will be perfect for low shoes and the regular lenght will work with a heel. The sundress I got is adorable and it fits - and it's a small... It looks terrible now because I am pasty white, but it'll be so cute when the weather gets nicer!
We went outside to play in the front yard when we got home yesterday afternoon. It was a little chilly out, but it was so nice to just run around and kick the ball in the yard and blow bubbles in the sunshine. I wish we had a nice big yard like we did at the lake house, but in time... this place is just temporary while we save up some money and I keep fixing my credit, etc... my score has gone up 82 points in 6 months! It's still not great, but it's getting better which is all I can do. Fixing it is a job in itself, you have to check all 3 agencies, pay for the subscription to the reports and alerts, figure out what's what, but I'm getting there. I really don't have that much debt compared to a lot of people, it's just stuff that is so old it's all added up...
Did you see this article in the NY Daily News today about the study that was done (on 82 couples that they surveyed) and they found that people are happier in their marriages when the woman is hotter than her husband. Click here to read it if you want... It's pretty funny. These women say they feel more secure if they know they're hotter than their boyfriend or husband - but watch out girls, ugly guys can be dirtbags too, and if you're into an ugly dude and you'r hot, chances are other hot girls will be into him too! I think you're best bet is finding someone who is your attractiveness equal and who has good morals.
Oh, so back to what Kyla and I did yesterday... we played outside for about 45 minutes then it started to get too chilly, her nose started running and my hands were getting cold so we went in the house... I took some awesome pictures of her blowing bubbles and running with the ball. I tried to get her to take some pictures of me - sometimes she likes to - but she wasn't having it. Maybe that's for the best, I don't look so hot these days haha...
Then we went in the house and played Barbies. I bought myself a Barbie the other day. She only has one Barbie and one Ken, so we decided that I needed my own Barbie. She's got long dark brown hair, and I swear you can make fun of me but she's the prettiest Barbie I've ever seen. She was $10 so no big deal. Kyla named her Jessie. Then we were making her Kelly dolls have a birthday party (I got her some Kelly playsets on eBay since they don't make them anymore) and we decided to make Ken the pizza delivery guy Barbie bring them a pizza, and we were goofing around and I ended up making the Ken throw the pizza at the Barbie, and she was CRACKING UP HYSTERICALLY, and then wanted to replay the whole scenario over and over again. Each time it was a little less hilarious, but she kept saying "let's do it again mom, let's do it again!" I was texting with my sister while all of this was going on, and I told her I got my own Barbie and we were playing and she responded "You're awesome." I don't know if she was being sarcastic or not, but Kyla seems to be enjoying playing Barbies with me so whatever. I was talking to someone who called the studio yesterday about something I had mentioned and she said "we really do get to relive our childhood" and I was like YUP! It's super fun!
I SWEAR these Emergen-C drinks WORK. As of yesterday I felt like I was going to be completely sick, I wasn't sure if I'd make it to work because I felt the illness setting in bigtime... but I had 3 of these things, ate all my carrots, drank a bunch of OJ, had some of the Halls Defense drops, and I feel better. I am a little stuffed up and congested but not nearly as bad as my boyfriend was and not nearly as bad as I thought I'd be today. The ones I get are the Emergen-C brand drink mixes, they come in little plastic packets and you just mix the fizzy powder. It doesn't taste so great but I'm convinced they work.
I interviewed Fred from the B52s a little while ago, so I have to chop that up and get it on the air and put it up on the podcast page... Hope you enjoyed my long post.
