Wednesday, August 13 - Random pics of art, pets, the porch, and my kid!
Here are some pictures I took the other day for no apparent reason... I just figure I haven't taken any pictures lately so here are a few...
A piece of Kyla's artwork from summer camp! I'm going to make a collage of the best ones to hang up somewhere in the house... it's on the list of crafty things to do this winter when I'm bored!
Our back deck, which I'm pretty psyched about considering the deck at our last place could barely fit the grill and a few chairs! Now all we have to do is get a free weekend to have a little cook out before the end of the summer!
Our new pets! The fish is Ali, and the frogs are Max & Jessica. I figured out how to tell which frog is which... one of them is a little bit lighter than the other - the lighter one is Jessica, the darker one is Max. I have no idea if they're boys or girls or what, but Kyla wanted a Max and a Jessica so that's what we named them.
More Kyla art! This is sitting in the windowsill above the kitchen sink. It kind of matches our kitchen!
This is one of the animals in the tile in the kitchen... I have always made fun of animal decor in the kitchen, so of course we pick out this great big house with every animal represented in the kitchen tile! There's also a duck, chicken, owl, cat, dog, peacock, and who knows what else... Yeah, at some point it will go buh-bye!!
My orchid Penny is doing quite well!!! Pretty purple flowers - and they're huge!!
My new Cabbage Patch Kids! 25th Anniversary replicas of the originals... I am not too happy about the fact that there are a very limited number of combinations, I've already seen them all which kind of defeats the "I'm one of a kind" thing, but they're still cute... I am going to get a few more, I REALLY want a bald paci boy and a shaggy haired blond boy and a red loops boy... and a few more girls... but this time around I flat out refuse to go to eBay, I'll get the kids I want in the stores!

But love this little nugget the most!!! Somehow my friend and I started calling our kids nuggets and now I call her that all the time... that and home skillet like from Juno. Or sometimes I just call her homie, which probably sounds really nutty to anyone who overhears me!
She LOVES her new pets, the other night I put the kitchen stool up to the counter and she sat and ate her dinner next to the tank. Now we want to get a bigger tank and more fish and frogs... but we'll see how these 3 do for a few weeks before we go nuts with the amphibians!
I think that's enough for now. That's a pretty good summary of what my life is like right now... Kyla goes to camp, I work on the website, we got new pets, we have a new place to set up and enjoy, and I'm back on a CPK kick for a bit!
