Apparently Anna Nalick's new song "Shine" is for anyone who has made mistakes in a public way... On her official website Anna wrote about the song and why she wrote it, who the inspirations for the song are, and it seems like she wrote it for people like Britney, Paris, Lindsay, Amy, and all the other girls in Hollywood who are stereotyped and judged, etc... Check out www.annanalick.com to read it...
I just found that little tidbit interesting.
So let's talk about Idol last night. Dolly Pardon's boobs fascinate me. Let's be serious, you can't help but look at them and think "how does she manage to stand up straight with those things, especially at her age AND in the heels she wears!" it's just a total defiance of gravity.
Uh, what's up with Randy Jackson now saying "I wasn't mad atcha" and "It was aight" - Really... enough. And I've failed to mention before that in his small reportoire (how the heck do you spell that word??) of phrases to start off his criticism of the contestants, he also does a little annoying LAUGH.
I have to say this, and some people will agree and some won't, but David Archuleta is SO OVER-RATED!!! Seriously, he is no better than the theater geek singer every high school in America has to star in their plays... Honestly, there were a few guys like him in my high school - I know, I was president of the Drama Club (can you believe it??) - and David Archuleta reminds me of these kids... Yes, he can sing, but I thought he was WAY OFF on a few notes last night and they didn't even say ANYTHING to him!!! He's the favorite, he can't really do much wrong, and I'm just surprised that even Simon gives him so much credit! He's a talented kid but he's not that super awesome!!
Ramiele and Jason bored me, again, as usual, just like every other week. They are mediocre. "Aight" as Randy would say.
David Cook ROCKED IT OUT AGAIN!!! Love him, I don't care what anyone says about his thinning hair, he's got a sweet baby face and I love it... Chris Daughtry can MOVE OVER!!!
Brooke White has such a pretty voice... She didn't do GREAT, but she's "consistent" as Paula would say and she always does well...
Carly was great, I think she knocked it out, every note was perfect and she picked a good song for herself... "The song choice was good for me" as Randy would say... Who talks like that?
Michael Johns was good, he'll keep going...
Syesha did aight, although I think she messed with the arrangement of that song too much and it was all over the place... she should have just stuck to one version of it and not tried to mess with it too much... she banged out the last part of it pretty well though...
And Kristy Lee Cook was aight too. Just aight tho. Country is her thing so she had that going for her... I don't think she'll last much longer.
My prediction for the bottom three... definitely Ramiele and Jason, maybe Syesha, maybe Kristy Lee, we'll see...
And poor David Cook!!! Having to go to the hospital after his performance because of his high blood pressure and heart palpatations!! His brother is really sick with cancer, that on top of the pressure of Idol, is taking a toll on him so I hope he gets some rest... He's such a cutie pie!!
I watched Dancing with the Stars for a little while last night, first time I've ever watched it, it annoyed me. I could never get into that show. It was funny to see Steve Gutenburg dancing with another dude - and noticing how they were trying to avoid getting too close to each other's crotches - but there's something over the top flashy about it that I couldn't stand.
I think I fell asleep before 11pm last night. My boyfriend called me at a little before 11 and I was pretty much incoherent! Around 2am I woke up out of a sound sleep and I was on the couch, all the lights were on, the TV was still on, so I got up and shut everything off and moved to the bedroom. We just got a new bed that has to be put together, and sold the old one, so I slept in Kyla's room on the bright pink sheets. I love Pink.
I'm getting slightly offended by this Craig & Company Credit Card contest because this is day 3 and I'm 1 for 3 with winners, and everyone else has gotten a winner every time!!! What the heck??? I know it's not my time slot anyway and I'm just filling in until Gina comes back on Monday, but what's the deal?? Why sign up if you're not going to make sure you're listening at the right times? I've heard all the excuses "my radio broke", "I had a meeting", "I lost signal", "I had to go to the bathroom", "I stepped out", whatever!!! We're throwing money away here... I wish they could pay my bills!!!
Allright I think that's enough for now... I have been putting up these long posts and I don't even know if anyone reads them!
