Hooray! The cleaning company is upstairs working their magic... It's not like we are slobs or anything, but this place gets so dusty and we are so busy that I never really get to do a deep cleaning... it's getting done today! TAG Cleaners in West Hartford - call Patty, she's awesome and affordable. Jeannine told me about her a few weeks ago while we were shooting the breeze about whatever and I'm like "OMG YOU HAVE CLEANING PEOPLE? WHO?? I NEED THEIR NUMBER!!" and here they are...
My new website is almost done, I am so excited. The new logo is finished and it's really starting to come together. I am putting together an email program and getting ready to do daily podcasts of my dirt reports. I'm also working with a few of the best photo agencies to get the best pictures. I can't wait!
I had a ridiculously fun weekend. Friday night my boyfriend and I went to Glas in Glastonbury to meet some friends. I had a few glasses of wine and some delicious garlic cheese bread. Apparently I was such a mess that when I came home I sent my friend in Philly a MySpace message telling her we were going to be there this coming weekend... and when she called me last night to make plans I didn't even remember that I'd sent her a message - or that my man and I had even discussed going to Philly at all! So, I think we're going to Philly this weekend, and I think we're going to see my girl Meghan.
Saturday we went to Madison's 2nd birthday party, it was fun. She's so adorable, she's all about the Little People right now so we got her the LP house, she also got the LP castle - which we almost got for her!
Saturday night my cousin came down and we went to the casino to see Chelsea Handler. She does the E! show Chelsea Lately, and she is hilarious. She uses words and phrases like "shidoodle" and "hot mess" and she's just a freaking riot. Then we gambled for a bit and ended up at a bar in the casino... My cousin is a nut when it comes to dancing... so somehow she ended up showing me how to do these funky kick dance moves, and to practice she told me to act like I was going to kick the bar chair over... And then we got a little carried away and she's like "kick that thing over, just go for it, kick it over" so I did. It was funny. So I did it again. I was being gentle, I wasn't trying to break the chair, it was more about practicing the dance move... Well then my boyfriend's friend Chris got a little crazy and wanted to join the chair kicking fun, so he launched his big manly leg at the chair and BROKE IT!!!! Needless to say, that didn't go over so well with the shortie bouncer and we ended up getting kicked out ourselves. Actually, they tried to get our info and find out how much it would cost to replace the chair before letting us leave... but we were like "it was an accident, peace"... I mean, it's not like he was in some violent drunken rage, it was an innocent mistake. We were apologizing at first and trying to be cool about it... I guess to a point I can understand why they were mad, but it was an accident. They don't charge people for breaking glasses by accident... Anyway, that was our night. By the time we got booted we were pretty lit up anyway...
Sunday morning the man went and picked up our new Wii while my cousin and I made breakfast. OK, she made the breakfast, I cut and arranged my latest floral masterpieces.
Then we started bowling. My cousin and I were in a bowling league for years when we were kids. It was quite ridiculous, we did tournaments and won trophies, had our own bowling shoes and balls with our initials on them. Most young girls cheerlead or play soccer, we bowled. We also did baton twirling and dance lessons, but bowling was our passion for a while... She was always better than me, but I held my own. She had already played Wii bowling and kicked my ass all but 1 game... then when my man came home later I beat the shidoodle out of him several times...
Now, however, 2 days later, he's perfected his MEAN curve ball and bowled a 261 yesterday... I knew my time as a better bowler than him was limited. He is better than me at just about everything like that!! It's still ridiculously fun. As soon as the cleaning people leave I am going upstairs to fire that shidoodle up. Oh, and wait until I show you my Mii. I'm going to have to take a picture of the TV screen just so you can see how much my Mii looks like Me. I love it!
Anyway, I think that's all I got for now. I'm hoping I can get into this from the studio computer tonight... I had some issues last night. I think I might need a nap today too.
