Kyla likes to sing Bleeding love in the back of the car. Cracks me up.
I have another busy weekend coming up... Tomorrow we have a playdate, although the weather is supposed to SUCK again so who knows what we'll end up doing... I'm psyched for Saturday, I'm going to see Legally Blonde on Broadway with my boyfriend's mom and sister... GIRLS ONLY TRIP!!! Then Sunday I'm taking Kyla to see The Backyardigans at the Chevrolet Theater with Erica & Willie... while the men golf, of course, what else would they do while we're busy with the kids... stay home and clean the house? NO way, when the chicks are away... the men will play... golf.
Today I took Kyla to Toys R Us because she doesn't have enough toys... YEAH RIGHT! Well, my grandmother, her GG, gave her some money for her birthday a while ago and I never actually took her to spend it so she got some new Barbie stuff and some new books. Then we went to Old Navy and got some good deals - she's going to need bathing suits for every day of summer camp so I got her a few - $6.99! And sundresses are on sale for $10. I wish my clothes were that cheap!
Speaking of my clothes... I took advantage of the VS sale online but half the stuff I just got doesn't fit! I never know what size to get... I've ordered a few shirts in Medium and they were a little too big so I went with small this time- bad idea. The strange thing is, the PANTS I ordered in a 6 fit! Usually stuff like that is the other way around. I have to return these shirts, but once I do and get the right sizes I'm set for summer. Might get a few sundresses and a pair of shorts or 2 but I think I'm good...
I got some beautiful flowers at the grocery store today... I will take pictures of them later. I have been really bad at loading pictures lately... I take them and get them onto my computer but I never post them here or on my MySpace anymore... I just never make it to the next step!
I really need a tan!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially since it's going ot be in the 90s this weekend and I'll be wearing shorts...
I stayed home sick last night. My head had been throbbing for DAYS... allergies, lack of sleep, I don't know what was wrong with me but I was barely functioning by yesterday afternoon. I wasn't really that SICK so I didn't want to take the night off, but I sure needed it. I had to drive Kyla to meet Lindsay at the movies - the premiere of Kung Fu Panda was in Manchester last night and I'd gotten tickets for the sitter to take her and I wasn't going to let her down... I had to meet Linds out there though because she works right in Manchester so I wasn't going to have her come all the way to our place and pick her up... Then I came home and cleaned up a little and relaxed... they came home a little after nine, I let her play on the computer and watch a movie, and then we went to bed around 11 and I was OUT all night... I meant to get up and go into my own bed but I never made it... next thing I knew it was 7:30am!! I got up about a half hour before her and when she got up and realized I was up before her she says, "MOM, WHY ARE YOU UP BEFORE ME???" It threw her all off!!
She is currently OBSESSED with this Little People DVD. I don't even remember where it came from. I am pretty sure it's Aaron Neville who sings the theme song, "we're little people with great big dreams..." it's actually a soft catchy little song, but she's so into it... she picked up the Guitar Hero guitar and started pretending to play along with it and sing... then she hits the back button to rewind it to the beginning again so she can hear the song.. over, and over, and over. NUTS!!
Allright I think that's enough, and I have a lot of stuff to do tonight since I wasn't here last night and I'm off all weekend (woo hoo!!!)
