Thursday, June 19 - Chuck E Cheese where a kid can be a kid!
My friend and I took our kids to Chuck Cheese today... they had a blast. It wasn't very busy so I could just kick back and chow down on pizza while she ran around playing... she kept doing the portrait thing, but she thought it was funny to move away from the circle where you're supposed to put your face so that when it took the picture it got the wall... I don't know, the strangest things amuse her. Then we took a few pictures together, one of them came out really cute!! If I ever get around to loading pictures I will post it... I actually loaded 383 pictures to Shutterfly the other day, went to share the album with friends & family, only to have it give me an error which said it could only share 250 pictures!!! I was so irritated...
Kyla wore her hair in a ponytail... which took some convincing... It's finally long enough to put back, so I finally told her to just let me try it, and she LOVED IT! She was trying to check it out in the mirror...
I let her get the MESSIEST ice cream sandwich EVER. You know how the outside cookie part is usually pretty mushy and it gets on your fingers... well this thing was exceptionally sticky and mushy. It was EVERYWHERE. She was trying to lick her fingers and it just wasn't coming off... We were in the bathroom washing her hands for a while.
The we went to Big Lots. You never know what you're going to find there... I got her this Dora Colorforms set for $1.70!!! As if she needs more toys, really.
After that I put $75 in the truck - to get me 274 miles, ugh... then we stopped at DD so I could get my much needed iced coffee - now with 2 sugars instead of 3, and then went home... I cleaned. I was a madwoman trying to get everything done... The only thing left was one of the toilets... oh well, I mopped, scrubbed, swept, vacuumed... the house needed it!!
I have a busy weekend... should be fun though. Sunday is my friend's bridal shower... I think Craig is going to take Kyla to Six Flags or something that day, but we haven't told her yet because if it doesn't end up happening we don't want to be held accountable.
Oh, and one more silly thing before I go... the other day she told me that the Dirt Devil mini-vac is "wicked annoying"... I need to watch my stupid little phrases I guess!!!
TTFN - don't forget to go to keyword "refuel" to register for free gas and to have a donation made in your name to the charity of your choice - we are doing it all summer starting Monday!!!
