Thursday, August 7 - My boyfriend the storm chaser - pics!
CRAZY weather around here this afternoon and tonight!!
My boyfriend is on his way to Philadelphia tonight... I did not want him to leave because of all the severe weather warnings, the tornado warning, the hail, the wind, etc. but of course Mr. Don't Worry About It I'll Be Fine is on his way down 84... He took some pretty cool pictures of the storm - he's driving right along side it but it's not even raining where he is on the highway... he's assured me that if he gets in any nasty weather he'll stop and wait it out. He better!!
We also tried to get video of the hailstorm we experienced earlier today... We were at Autozone picking up a part so that my car would pass the emissions test (it failed the first time, passed with the new gas cap hooray!), and it just started HAILING... We could hear the rain rumbling on the roof and it just got louder and louder... and I look outside and it is HAILING... how funny was it to see a bunch of auto-type tough guys getting out their cell phones to take pictures of the hail... then one brave dedicated dude went outside and changed a woman's wiper blades in the middle of it... we hung out in the store for about 20 extra minutes to avoid getting pelted with the hail... it was dime size-penny size... I'm going to attempt to load the video but I don't know how well you'll be able to see.
