Monday, May 19 - Bowling, golfing, over-watering...
Yes this weekend I took Kyla bowling for the first time with some friends! She LOVED it... Pictures coming tomorrow... I just didn't have time to get to them today. I also taught her how to play Wii bowling. She doesn't quite have it down yet, she doesn't understand how to hold the button down and when to release it, but she got a few good balls in and she had a blast trying... I watched our friend's 2 year old for a while today too and she got so excited every time Kyla knocked some pins down...
We started cleaning out the garage today... OK, scratch that, my boyfriend started cleaning out the garage today and I broke up a few pieces of cardboard... and Kyla played on the grass with her new Dora golf set... Then when Madison came over they wanted to color in the house so I had to stop cutting cardboard (shucks!)
I got a few new plants this weekend... A Hibiscus tree - they have gorgeous flowers - but I overwatered it and the flowers fell off!! One of them was just about to open up the day I got it, the next morning it was open, and by the following morning the flower had fallen off... so my smart boyfriend was like, you must have overwatered it... sure enough, there was a puddle in the bottom, I put too much water in. I hope I didn't kill it!!! I also got a potted alstroemeria, I always get the long stemmed ones at the grocery store so I'm hoping this one keeps for a while... it's gorgeous. I have to get a pot for it. I also got a fuscia plant for the front yard, but I was told it's more of a shade plant so I have to find a good spot for it out of the sun. I am trying to read up on some different indoor flowers so I can grow them instead of dropping $20 every time I go to the grocery store! I'm actually thinking about planting some in the yard but I'm afraid they will all die... the dude next door was outside ALL DAY yesterday planting and I'm super jealous of his garden... but he picked mostly typical boring flowers (marigolds!) and whatever... I want some more fun ones. I'm a dork, I know.
How exciting is the AI finale going to be??? Because it's such a heated competition. I want David Cook to win, but David Archuleta has a really good shot, it's hard to even tell who the underdog is in this situation!! Should be exciting. At this point, I don't think the performances tomorrow night will really matter... anyone who votes is a huge fan of one or the other by now... but we'll see.
I think that's all I got for now. It was a long day...
