Monday, March 31 - A sweet 4th birthday party!!

I would have to say that Kyla had a super sweet 4th birthday party this weekend!  We had so much fun... and I took over 160 pictures!!  We played pin the decal on the Pony, my sister made an AWESOME pony cake, everyone wore their little pony hats, even the boys, the adults had fun playing Guitar Hero (we don't own it someone brought it over but I have a feeling we might own it soon!), the only thing that sucked about the party was the PIZZA!!!  We got sheet pizzas from this place down the street and it was AWFUL... but we had other yummy food and the best cake ever courtesy of Auntie Erin!

Here are a few pictures, you can see a ton more at www.myspace.com/danasdirt but here are a few that I like...

Me and my adorable 4 year old!!

Jayden, Christoper, Luke, Madison, DeOndrew, Skylin, Adam, Willie, Simone & Kyla

My sister is a very talented cake maker/decorator!  She manages a Cold Stone Creamery in MA, and part of her job is to do their special cakes... so I recruited her to make Kyla's birthday cake... It's Funfetti (the ice cream would have melted it's a long ride from her house to ours!) and it was DEEEELICIOUS!!  We didn't want to cut it though, look how awesome it is!!  We told her she needs to go into business for herself - Auntie Erin's Awesome Cakes!

Kyla's favorite part of the party... all day "I WANT TO OPEN MY PRESENTS!!"  Greedy little child... Wonder where she gets it??

Disney Princess Mega Blocks!

Kyla on her new bike from mommy and Craig!!  Now if only we could get some nice weather so she could ride it outside!!  My man did a great job picking it out huh... he shopped and put it together all by himself!

Skylin giving Kyla HIGH FIVE!  These two are so adorable together... little princesses!!

I think she loves her new bike!

I can't wait to make a scrapbook with all of these pictures and some others I took while she was here... She went back to her dad's yesterday... they went to see her grandparents in PA (so she could collect even more presents lol) and then back to DC for about 6 weeks... then she comes back to us, I can't wait!  I miss her already.  I mean, how does this make sense - every day last week I worked 10am to 3pm and had to get her to the other side of the river (East Hartford, Vernon, Tolland) and then make it to Farmington by 9:45 and I was EARLY for work every day... but today, she's not with me, and I got here at 10:01!!  She keeps me in line I guess :)

I have a lot of work to do before she comes back... I have a TON of toys to donate or give to younger girls we know, same goes for tons of clothes that she's grown out of... and I really need to find some way to organize her Barbies, Polly Pockets, and other stuff... I have to get my website finished (hopefully that will be soon!!) and hire cleaning people... and I still want a new car but it keeps getting put on hold!  The good news - we got our new bed and already sold the old one... We just have to wait to get the foundation built.  It's a water bed.  My boyfriend swears it will be the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on... anything is better than the tempurpedic bs we've been attempting to sleep on for the last few years... It works for some people but we're just not into it.

I'm going to sleep over my cousin's house tonight - a good old fashioned sleep over!  We used to have sleepovers every Saturday night when we were kids... it was quite ridiculous the things we used to do... I won't even get into it here.  On the agenda for the night - make brownie batter and eat it (without baking it), prank phone calls (back in the day there was no caller-ID!), and other crazy things I won't repeat... We were nuts!!  She is picking up our traditional picky eaters meal - chicken and rice... for dinner.

Yesterday we totally bummed around.  My sister spent the night Saturday after the party so after Kyla left the 3 of us literally sat around doing nothing... we made a pizza, ate the leftover cake, and did more of nothing.  I took a nice 3 hour nap, woke up at 7 to a delicious steak dinner that my boyfriend made, and never got out of my pajamas.  I needed it!

I think that's all I got for now... you can always email me radiomommy330@yahoo.com if there's anything you want to share or think I should write about in this blog... I am always excited to talk to people...

More tomorrow, peace out!
