It's been decided, 100%, we will be having a My Little Pony party to celebrate Kyla's 4th birthday. Should be super fun.
I really am a dork, because I think I am more excited about this party theme than she is. I loved MLP when I was a kid. What didn't I love? Cabbage Patch, Strawberry Shortcake, My Child (those are worth serious loot these days), Barbies, My Friend Mandy (remember those!!), American Girl Collection (too expensive though), I loved it all... and now I get to enjoy it all over again. We played Barbies for hours last night... She gets irritated with me because I get distracted into organizing stuff or setting things up and she goes "MOM YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR GIRL TALK!!!" It's hilarious.
She has these CPK Lil Sprouts that are really cute, they have adorable outfits and a lot of their accessories are the perfect size for the Kelly dolls as well, but they don't make outfits sold seperately for the dolls and I wish they did... They actually sell a play set with a closet that comes with a bunch of hangers, but they don't sell anything seperately so unless your doll is walking around naked you don't even need the hangers.
We've decided we're getting her a bike for her birthday. Screw the Barbie house and anything else, she'll be back with me for a while in the spring and she needs a bike. Yesterday we had Easter dinner at my boyfriend's cousin's dance studio and Kyla had a blast riding bikes around the big dance floor... so I'm like DUH the kid needs a bike! We don't really live in a great neighborhood for riding bikes because there is no sidewalk, but the streets are not very busy and our driveway is good for a little bike riding. The whole street thing makes me so nervous, but we'll figure it out. There's a park near us too where she can ride. Now the dilemma is, what kind of bike?? And the bigger question is, how are we going to get the thing and make it a surprise??
Easter was a blast, but my boyfriend was right - she got bored with the egg hunt, meaning I went overboard. 45 eggs!!! And that's just the ones I hid - and some of them she didn't find...
Today she is at Miss Leanne's. Leanne is a friend of my boyfriend's family and she has watched all of his nephews at some point - so Kyla gets to play with Willie all day. They are SO ADORABLE and they were so excited to see each other... He ended up dropping her off this morning since he was going that way, and I guess she walked into the room full of kids and goes "Hi everyone, I'm Kyla!" This just an hour after telling me she's SHY!!
I really hope I am not getting sick. My man has been sick ALL WEEK, and even though I have kind of avoided being too close to him (which p*ssed him off), I think I'm going to end up with it anyway... which is especially bad since I have to work days all week and I have Kyla and I don't want her to get sick... and this party this weekend too... Lots going on.
I also have website stress like you wouldn't believe, concern for a family member going through a hard time, and more...
Anyway, I am going to post some picturse from the weekend but I once again forgot the thing to connect my camera to the computer here so I'm waiting for Jeannine to get back from lunch so I can once again borrow her adapter!
