The summer is in full swing and I still don't have much of a tan! I have a little color on my face and the top of my body, but my scrawny legs are still pasty white! I haven't had a chance to lay out... We're moving in a week, so once we are all set up at our new house I'll be laying out on the back deck... we'll have a nice big yard and a nice big deck!
I'm really excited about moving... not about the process of moving, but the house is really nice and we'll have plenty of room, so it'll be great... there's even a little desk/office area in the kitchen. Brilliant! Now I can keep all of our junk organized... and the family room is going to be awesome for playing Wii - and I need to get Wii Fit and Aerosmith Guitar Hero!
We had a great 4th of July weekend... it was pretty tiring though! Friday we went to Six Flags ALLLL day... It rained for a little whlie early in the day so we got a little nervous that we'd have to cut it short, but it stopped raining... we seriously ate so much junk. I had cotton candy, popcorn (at 11am!), fried dough, and breadsticks... oh, and a pina colada at the bar in the water park.
I REMOVED MY COMMENTS ABOUT THE NUMBER OF OBESE PEOPLE AND EXTREMELY OVERWEIGHT KIDS WALKING AROUND AT THE WATER PARK BECAUSE PEOPLE GET SO OFFENDED... I am not surprised, but I was merely pointing out what just about everyone who goes to that water park - and others - probably notices. Sorry.
We went bowling on Saturday night with some friends. It was fun... I beat Craig one game, he beat me the other two... for someone who flat out refused to go bowling for a long time, he's pretty good. I am not good at "big-ball" bowling... I was raised on Candlepin, was in a league, had my own bowling balls with my initials on them, my own bowling shoes, etc. when I was a kid... so I'm pretty good at that style, but I don't like the big balls - they are too heavy, my arm is sore!!! It was alllll Kyla's idea to bowl. Ever since we went a few months ago with my friends she has been asking to go again... so the other day when we picked her up from summer camp she wanted to go, but we didn't feel like it, so we tried to distract her by taking her to Rainforest Cafe, her favorite restaurant.. she was all for it, we went, and then it was "now can we go bowling?" So we told her we'd go on a rainy day... sure enough, Sunday it rained and she said "it's a rainy day we can go bowling right?" so she got her way...
Yesterday we went to see WALL-E. SO CUTE!!! The end dragged on a little bit, but for the most part it was great. Very little talking... such a cute story. I can't wait to see what kind of a ride they will come up with for it in Disney World!! Kyla loved it.
I am such an idiot!!!! I forgot to pay my cell phone bill and now it is off. I pay all my bills online but for some stupid reason I have never been able to get the online payment thing to work, so I forgot... and now I just tried to make a call and it's shut off. UGH!!! The worst is that I have the money to pay it, but anyone who tries to call me and hears it is off will think "ooooh Dana must be broke these days" Not broke, just lazy and forgetful!!
Oh, we watched Vantage Point this weekend too... great movie. I usually don't like those action government terrorist violent explosion type movies but it was cool and very fast moving. Definitely a good one to see... Strange Wilderness will crack you up too. Those are my suggestions.
