Monday, April 14 - A great surprise, a great weekend, a new orchid!
I had a GREAT weekend... I have a ton of video to put together but I wanted to share this one right away... We surprised Kyla at the National Zoo in DC... here's the footage of her coming up the hill on her dad's shoulders and her reaction when she saw me. She is so cute. We had a blast at the zoo, and according to her dad she is still talking about it!
I have a lot of pictures and cute videos... and Saturday night was quite a crazy one - we went out in Philly and did a little bit of drinking. I had a good time goofing off with my video camera, but I've been so busy today I haven't even had a chance to look at them all...
Can you believe this shooting at The Bidwell???? My boyfriend used to live right near there and he goes there all the time... He's friends with a bunch of people who work there and knows the owner... We still don't know the whole story, but how scary and horrible!! This world is crazy. You just don't know when someone around you who seems pretty normal can SNAP!!! And it's not like there's much you can do even if you see it coming...
I got a new orchid this weekend... at the train station in Philadelphia of all places! I'm going to name her Penny for Pennsylvania where I got her. She's HUGE!!!! I'm going to post some pictures later, but I want to get this post up soon... I actually wanted to do it earlier today but I had so much crap to do...
My boyfriend is setting up our new waterbed... We ran into some issues with it (of course nothing can never be easy for us) but hopefully we'll be able to sleep on it tonight. It's going to be SO comfortable!!! Some part of his bed frame is uneven so he has to get something to push the foot up the bed up about a 1/2 inch, the water was all going to the foot of the bed... It's quite a process to set up all the pieces of a water bed!
I am psyched for our Acoustic Cafe with Colbie Caillat next week!! She's so adorable and so talented, I hope I'll be able to go to it... Listen tonight for tickets, I have a ton of them to give away all week!!
I think that's all I got for now... I have much more to share but it'll have to wait. I have to go burn the new Alanis song so I can play it tonight. I LOVE HER!!!!
