Yeah it's Friday the 13th, and it kind of felt like one. I had a ridiculously HORRIBLE nightmare last night... I don't even want to get into what it was about, but it was one of those nightmares that haunts you all day even though it was JUST A NIGHTMARE!!
RENTERS BEWARE. If you are renting an apartment or house from an individual (or even a company), you should check with the town hall and make sure the place is not in forclosure... we got completely screwed by our landlord... and I've come to find out that this is VERY common with people losing their homes left and right... since they know they're going to lose the property, they collect rent right up until the tenants get an eviction notice because the bank took the place back... luckily we were onto our landlord months ago and had prepared for what we knew would happen... but there are a lot of people who are writing a rent check every month and the landlords are pocketing it and not paying their mortgages... because what do they care? We are pretty po'd... this guy lied to us repeatedly, swore up and down he had a payment agreement, and hounded us for the rent on the 23rd of the month claiming he needed to get the money to his mortgage company... we found out earlier this week the mortgage on the place we are living in hasn't been paid since BEFORE WE MOVED IN!!! This guy is PSYCHO... so anyway, we are moving. And just be careful... if you're looking to rent, check the status of the home. Pay attention to mail coming to the house/apt for the owner... We were prepared and have a new place lined up, have money put aside to move, etc... but some people haven't been so lucky!!!
Anyway, that's the drama we dealt with this week. Other than that, it's been fun. We went swimming at a friend's house on Wednesday and yesterday we just hung out at home and had lunch... Today I slept late and my man watched Kyla for a while... she watered the plants outside and then we colored for a little while...
Tomorrow should be a super fun day. A big group of us are going to see The Wiggles at Six Flags... I hope everything goes as planned, it's always hard when you try to coordinate a group of people, especially when there are a bunch of little kids involved... but it will be fun. Tomorrow night Kyla's dad is flying in so we'll drop her off with him after we leave the park... then we're going out for our friend/Kyla's babysitter's birthday... actually both of her babysitters have the same birthday so we're going to try to get out to see both of them. Sunday I'm working noon to six... I've taken so many Saturdays off for all the stuff we have to do, so I opted to work a Sunday to make up for it... Plus we don't get together on Father's Day til later anyway bc my boyfriend's dad works until 6 or so...
I have a tummy ache and I don't know why. Have a great weekend!!!
